Being born in Chicago Illinois was a plus. Lots of open space to roam. But I always yearned to live in the country with hills at least.
I have a bachelors degree from Valparaiso University and a masters degree from Xavier University.
I prefer painting on location. It may be a harbor, a landscape, a dog on a mission, an isolated house, or an old rusty truck.
My studio has traveled from Alaska, to Europe, with stops in Vermont, Florida, Washington and my home town of Milford, Ohio.
I do live in the country (the woods) outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. The inspiration for my painting and drawing comes from nature and from our human nature that is born with a will to live and grow and drink in life.
I have been an artist all my life. I have coupled that with two careers-an elementary and junior high school art teacher and the founding Director of Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding & Horsemanship, providing horseback riding as therapy for children and adults with disabilities.
